DESCRIPTION: Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, C.1886, "REGULATOR No. 1", mahogany case, 8-day, with large movement [similar to #3], w/ maintaining power and vernier adjustable beat setting.
CONDITION: bottom finials are new to incorrect profile, the case has been refinished, and the dial was repainted by the Dial House in 1977 [with sticker on rear of dial]. Otherwise the clock is in good original condition, retaining old hands, weight, pulley, pendulum, hanger and other case hardware. Tran Ly's 2004 price guide lists this at $3400.
